Summary : Sam Sylvester was a teacher of Hawkwood, and he was always worried about his students. There were two schools there, Hawkwood which was not good, and Greycoats which was high-educated. Most Hawkwood's students were not good at everything except fighting. One day, Sam decided some of his class students to compete with Greycoats at tetrathron competition (Shooting, swimming, horse race.). The original teammates were... Nutty who was very good at riding horse but girl (so she wasn't actual team member), very thin boy Hoomy, Jazz, Bean, and Gary. They got four horses and Hoomy began to love his horse, so it seemed like it was okay. However, they had some troubles on others. First, they didn't have any guns to practice shooting and no instructor. Second, they were not good at swimming except Gary. And his older brother, Nails was really nice swimmer but his personality was terrible. Moreover, the enemy named Sebastian Smith who was the leader of Greycoat team was really annoying. What would happen them? Could they beat Greycoat? Who would be teammates? Sounds nice book, yes?

Personal response : It was good book. I like Hawkwood students. They were all stupid, but they could have passion, so they could do many things on tetrathron. My favorite character was Nails anyway. He was kind of bad student, but gradually, while practicing for the competition, his personality was changing. the reason why he was getting better child was horses. Horses became his best friends. It was lovely. Animals can make person good!! Amazing!
